For the adventurers try the next combinations
Bushmills 16yo with gjetost (Scandinavian caramelized goatscheese)
Bowmore with boeren leidse met sleutels(or the imitation of  it ,nokkel-      ost)
Laphroiag with stilton (well matured one)
Dalmore 12yo  with matured Gouda(aged at least 1 year)

      Does someone has other recommandations?
I`m pleased to hear them as well.

      Eric.

I had never even thought of that but that sounds totally amazing. Unfortunately I am having a horrible time finding Glenmo Port Wood Finish especially since it was discontinued :( My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Well i will have to find another combination to try.

Any recommendations for what would go well with Humboldt Fog blue cheese?

Try the Glenmoriangie Quinta Ruban. It is (in my opinion) far better than the discontinued Portwood Finish.

Dennis,

Are you say I should try the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban with Humboldt Fog cheese or just that I should try the Quinta Ruban?
I am already planning on trying the Quinta Ruban, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Do you have any recommendations of what would go well with Humboldt fog? I usually have wine with it but I am open to suggestions of Whiskies  to have with it.

Sorry, I have never tasted the Humboldt Fog cheese, so I can't really suggest anything to go with that. The suggestion was just to try the Quinta Ruban with whatever you used to eat with the Port Finish.

I have tried to look for the Homboldt Fog chees, but can't find it. So please share any "test results" you make Tongue

Dennis,
Below are some links that I found about the cheese. maybe they will help you find them in your neck of the woods. Or if there are other cheeses you know of that are similar to this one let me know. I am always open to trying a new cheese. Hope the links are helpful. There are so many more if you want more info, google it.
Whatever tastings I do I will let you know.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Well everyone knows the classic Port&Stilton but for all whiskyfreaks here`s a nice combination.
Shropshire blue with Lapfroiag,is a big bottle too expensive use a miniature and pour it over the cheese, put it aside till all the whisky is absorbed.
