About fifty years ago, my uncle gave me a bottle of Captain's Table whiskey.  I absolutely loved it...and in a couple of weeks it was gone.  I never thought to buy any because I believe i was underage at the time.  But, I never forgot it.
He recently died and while going through the basement cabinets i found an empty bottle of Captain's Table.

From the bottle's labeling:

McGuiness Distillers, Ltd.,

Mimico, Ontario, D4-P50 E

Captain’s Table, 25 fl. Oz.

Canadian Whisky

I discovered that McGuiness is long gone.  But, since the whiskey tasted soooo good, I'm thinking that who ever bought out
that company must have had the good sense to keep the recipe, and perhaps has reproduced it under another name.
Any info in this regard will be appreciated.  Thanks for your time.
