I have been given a boxed Legendary clan campbell whiskey aged 21 yrs By courtesy of Ian Campbell x11th duke of Argyll.   I am fairly sure this whisky itself was purchased over 15 yrs ago.I can`t find this whisky on a search.Does anybody Know if it is still produced and if once opened how long can it now be kept.(Also a rough cost price would be nice to know)

Can you please send one or more photos of the bottle, so it is possible to se the condition of the bottle and labels, the filling level etc. Also please a photo where the label is readable.

Please send the photo to dennis  @whiskyportal.com.

Kevin,

Sorry for replying so late. I can't say for sure if this bottle is still produced. I have not been able to find anyone selling it, but I can't say for sure.

You can keep the bottle for quite a while after you have opened it. It will, however, slowly start to decrease in quality - the more you have taken from the bottle, the more (and faster) the whisky will change. Many people say that you can have the bottle open for half a year before you can notice any significant difference. My own personal rule is that when the bottle is only half full, it is time to empty it...

Regarding the value... well, I just can't say for sure. The bottle is not too rare, and the collector's market for blended whisky is limited. A wild guess would be about 20 USD, but it's a wild guess.
