Well you can always contact a distillery or a independant bottler but when buying don`t forget tax regulations ,when you bottle the whisky in the U.K. you have to pay tax but you also have to store your barrel in a warehouse ,depends of the distillery if you can let it rest overthere. Also watch the quality of the barrel very closely as some barrels you can buy are not of the best quality and you end up with a leaking or otherwise bad one. Also think at transport when you decide taking your whisky home. This also can cost a lot of cash and troubles crossing a border specially if your country isn`t a E.E.C. country. If you succeed i`m always prepared buying a bottle or so from you! Good luck ,Eric m.

I can't really help you either, but you might want to try at the Norwegian whiskyforum: http://www.nmwl.no/forum - Norsk Maltwhiskyforum

If bourbon interests you, Buffalo Trace has been known to sell barrels to private parties/groups (I have several bottles of those deals, in fact). Contact either Kris Comstock or Ken Weber.
