can anyone tell me the difference between Malted, Pot,and pearl are in making a wort? thanks all

Corrct me if i`m wrong but i thougt that pearl was peeled and polished barley,malted is barley that has a sprout(like soybeansprouts)this is what you do to get sugar for the wort,pot i don`t know may be the copper pot you distill your lowwines in to make spirit,can you be more specific about what you mean with pot?Greetings Eric m.

I have a stainless steel boiler. with a tilt refux colume. I am not sure as what type or how much barley i sould add to the mash? if it is 15 gal batch   8 pounds flaked corn. 10lbs cane suger, how much barley?

That is something you have to experiment with yourself,but if i were you i would try not to imitate Scotch single malts with extra finishes or peated but find something original.But why you need the sugar for?
