Does anybody know anything about whiskey distilleries in Mexico, particularly in Juarez? Apparently there was a distillery in the first half of the 1900's owned by the Mackays (see http://www.whiskyportal.com/distillery.asp?DistilleryID=1358 - http://www.whiskyportal.com/distillery.asp?DistilleryID=1358 ). Also, a (newer?) distillery is located in Juarez (see http://www.whiskyportal.com/distillery.asp?DistilleryID=1359 - http://www.whiskyportal.com/distillery.asp?DistilleryID=1359 ). Any information on these distilleries will be greatly appreciated.

It seems to be still in production but i`ve been looking for a bottle of the stuff myself for a long time.With a little bit of luck,who knows...

Quite a number of American whiskey distilleries moved to Mexico, primarily Juarez, during Prohibition. Famously, Joseph L. Beam made there, among other things, Waterfill & Frazier. Here's a bit of info regarding that label, for example:
