Founded 1896 by Peter Mackenzie, Richard Stackpole, John Symon and Charles MacPherson.

Floor Maltings discontinued in 1968. the same year the number of stills was doubled from 2 to 4.

The number of still increased again to 6 in 1974, and again to 8 in 1979.
